When you become a client. Your contact details, payment and invoicing information, and the writing you share with me, such as manuscripts, extracts, synopses and related correspondence.

Your writing and confidentiality
Manuscripts and other work you share with me are treated as confidential. I will use them only to provide the service you've asked for. I will not share them with anyone else, publish them, or use them to train AI tools. Your work remains your own.
Who I share information with
I never sell your personal information. I share it only with trusted providers who help me run my business, and only as far as necessary. These may include:
Google Meet
My accountant, and professional advisers where needed
Authorities, where I'm legally required to disclose information
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, I rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy arrangement.
How long I keep your information
Enquiries that don't lead to work: up to 12 months
Client records and correspondence: for 6 years after our work ends, in line with tax and accounting requirements, unless you ask me to delete your manuscript materials sooner
Manuscripts and shared work: for 12 months after our work ends, then securely deleted unless you ask me to delete them earlier
Mailing list: until you unsubscribe
